Why does WHO organize a film festival? The Health for All Film Festival (HAFF) is based on the assumption that short films can have an impact on people's health, by encouraging behavior change or providing knowledge, motivation, or skills needed for people to take action. And WHO is ready to use all means of communication to help improve the health of people around the world.
A shortlist of 93 films has been selected for the 4th Health for All Film Festival out of more than 780 entries received. WHO staff from all over the world participated in this preselection.
On the WHO website you can access the 2023 Youtube playlists. The public is encouraged to choose one of the films they would like to champion and comment about its story/topic, before the 5th of June 2023. Comments can be posted on their social media using #Film4Health or through the posts inserted in those YouTube playlists. Some comments from the public will be featured during the HAFF virtual Awards Ceremony in early June.
