There is good news for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. SwitzerlandMobility has added four new obstacle-free routes:
- Route 253 runs from Bitsch to Naters alongside the Rhône and offers magnificent views of the Alps.
- Route 907, also known as the Romanshorn circular trail, takes you through the beautiful landscape around Lake Constance.
- Route 917 is the Bommerweier Trail, running from Siegershausen to Bernrain. This route passes a pond that is home to water birds and amphibians.
- Starting in Lenk in the Bernese Oberland, Route 444 is a circular trail passing the idyllic Lenkerseeli lake.
Procap and SwitzerlandMobility assess each route against a number of criteria. For example, the route must be passable throughout, have wheelchair-friendly surfaces and provide access to public transport and restaurants that are wheelchair accessible.
