Thanks to Charlotte Alaux and her start-up "Omni", Latin for "all", Paris will be accessible to wheelchair users during the Paralympics. With an e-scooter that can be adapted to any wheelchair, it will be possible to explore the city easily and independently.
The idea of e-scooters for wheelchairs was born out of necessity. In Paris, only one of the 14 metro lines is accessible to wheelchair users. You never know if the bus is running, if the ramp is working or if the bus is overcrowded. Driving in a big city like Paris is also complicated.
Charlotte is renting out e-scooters for 50 euros a day during the Paralympics.
